The jihad is already upon us, and the mainstream media would rather keep us all in the dark. Consider these underreported acts of terrorism in cities all around us. From Fox News

— In Florida, the retrial of six of the “Liberty City Seven” is coming to a close. The group members, who allegedly plotted to destroy the Sears Tower in Chicago and swore allegiance to Al Qaeda on a secret FBI surveillance tape, were arrested in June 2006. Their first trial ended in a not-guilty verdict for one defendant and a mistrial for the other six.— In Washington state, the murder trial has begun for Pakistani-American Naveed Haq, who is accused of opening fire in Seattle’s Jewish Federation Building in July 2006, killing one woman and wounding five others. Haq allegedly said he was mad at the Jews and how they are running the country. Two other cases are to enter court next month.— In Michigan, a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Houssein Zorkot, a Lebanese-born medical student at Wayne State University in Detroit who posted on his Web site in September 2007 that he was launching a personal jihad. He was arrested that same day in a nearby park, wearing camouflage paint and holding a loaded AK-47.— In South Carolina a trial is set for Youssef Megahed and Ahmed Mohamed, two University of South Florida students who officials say had pipe bombs in their car when they were caught speeding near the Goose Creek weapons base.

In January 2008, San Jose, Calif. police exposed a group of cell phone bombers who operated a mission called Operation Meltdown. This wasn’t a handful of disgruntled protesters. From NBC:

Over the life of the operation, Davis said, 273 suspects were investigated, 63 of whom were arrested over the course of the investigation. Another 73 suspects were picked up during a sweep Tuesday. There are still another 70 suspects with outstanding warrants yet to be arrested.

Among the recovered effects of this would-be terror cell were:

14 tons (28,000 lbs) of copper was purchased since April 2007, approximate street value of $96,000

Copper came from a number of sources: 1.Commercial buildings scheduled for demolition or renovation 2.Theft from retail businesses, high-tech manufacturing locations 3.Construction sites and utility yards

40 stolen vehicles were purchased. The vehicles include a BMW, Porsche Carrera, Nissan 350Z, Audi, Toyota MR2, SUV’s, sedans, motorcycles and a new Ford Edge SUV. (25 different suspects)

35 narcotic purchases were made. The narcotics include methamphetamine, marijuana, Ecstacy, and Vicodin. (14 different suspects)

74 Firearms were purchased. The weapons include 21 assault weapons banned in California, 4 firearms reported stolen, 2 fully automatic weapons, 2 sawed off shotguns and 8 firearms with damaged or removed serial numbers.

7 IED’s (Improvised Explosive Device) were purchased. Several of the bombs were designed to detonate by means of cell phone transmission.

2 additional IED’s were recovered in October 2007 at suspects house in Fremont.

Over 67 miscellaneous items were purchased. These items include stolen California driver’s licenses, identity documents, construction tools, bikes, checks, laptops, jewelry, office equipment and clothing.

And there’s another type of terrorism that we haven’t even considered yet.Via CosmicConservative:

The home-grown variety that the FBI considers domestic terrorist threat #1 is…. no, not radical Christian fundamentalists, or even White supremacists (you’ve been watching too many Hollywood movies), nope, it’s eco-terrorists.

FOXNews.com - FBI: Eco-Terrorism Remains No. 1 Domestic Terror Threat - Local News | News Articles | National News | US NewsFor nearly seven years, the nation has turned its terror focus on Al Qaeda and the hunt for Usama bin Laden. But there is a domestic terror threat that federal officials still consider priority No. 1 — eco-terrorism.

The torching of luxury homes in the swank Seattle suburb of Woodinville earlier this month served as a reminder that the decades-long war with militant environmentalists on American soil has not ended.

“It remains what we would probably consider the No. 1 domestic terrorism threat, because they have successfully continued to conduct different types of attacks in and around the country,” said FBI Special Agent Richard Kolko.
